Charles Humphrey Atherton

Charles Humphrey Atherton (August 14, 1773 – January 8, 1853), an American Federalist politician, banker and a distinguished attorney from New Hampshire.

Atherton served once as a United States Representative from New Hampshire from 1815 to 1817, but did not seek re-election. He was thrice elected to the state legislature and was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 1823, 1838 and 1839.
