Central District (Tabas County)
The Central District of Tabas County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان طبس) is in South Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Tabas.

At the National Census in 2006, its population (as a part of Yazd province) was 43,188 in 11,296 households. The following census in 2011 counted 48,569 people in 13,755 households. At the latest census in 2016, the district had 52,528 inhabitants in 15,940 households, by which time the county had been separated from the province and become a part of South Khorasan province.
