Central District (Showt County)
The Central District of Showt County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان شوط) is in West Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Showt.

After the 2006 National Census, Showt District was separated from Maku County in the establishment of Showt County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Showt as its capital.
The census in 2011 counted 39,569 people in 10,076 households. At the latest census in 2016, the district had 43,536 inhabitants in 12,169 households.
After the census, the village of Yowla Galdi was elevated to the status of a city.
