Central District (Bam County)

The Central District of Bam County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان بم) is in Kerman province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Bam.

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 118,037 in 31,124 households. The following census in 2011 counted 159,129 people in 46,173 households. At the latest census in 2016, the district had 167,810 inhabitants in 52,065 households.

In 2018, Darijan Rural District was established in the district; Deh Bakri Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Deh Bakri District, which was divided into two rural districts; and the village of Deh Bakri was renamed Deh Bid as the capital of the new district.
