Burdei

A burdei or bordei (Romanian: bordei, Ukrainian: бурдей) is a type of pit-house or half-dugout shelter, somewhat between a sod house and a log cabin. This style is native to the Carpathian Mountains and forest steppes of Eastern Europe.
