Boris Petrovich Polevoy

Boris Petrovich Polevoy, also Polevoi (Russian: Борис Петрович Полевой; 10 May 1918 – 26 January 2002) was a Soviet historian known for his work on the history of the Russian Far East. He was honored in Kamchatka for his work on the study of the region's history, and has been described in the West as "a leading Soviet specialist on the history of Russian cartography".
