Blagoveshchensky District, Altai Krai
Blagoveshchensky District (Russian: Благове́щенский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the west of the krai. The area of the district is 3,700 square kilometers (1,400 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Blagoveshchenka. Population: 30,783 (2010 Census); 34,878 (2002 Census); 44,849 (1989 Census). The population of Blagoveshchenka accounts for 37.8% of the district's total population.
