Blížkovice lies on the Jevišovka River, approximately 22 kilometres (14 mi) north-west of Znojmo, 62 km (39 mi) west of Brno, and 159 km (99 mi) south-east of Prague. The market town is well known for its triangle-shaped square, which happens to be the second biggest triangle square in the Czech Republic.
