Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the seat will be subject to major boundary changes including the incorporation of northern areas of the Borough of Solihull (Castle Bromwich and Smith's Wood). As a consequence, it will be renamed Birmingham Hodge Hill and Solihull North, to be first contested at the next general election.
