In 2014, Walt Disney Animation Studios produced the animated film Big Hero 6, inspired by the characters. In 2017, a television series based on the film, titled Big Hero 6: The Series, premiered. The characters also appeared in the video game Kingdom Hearts III in the San Fransokyo world.
