Bastamlu Rural District

Bastamlu Rural District (Persian: دهستان بسطاملو) is in the Central District of Khoda Afarin County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Bastamlu.

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Khoda Afarin District of Kaleybar County) was 5,907 in 1,168 households. There were 5,407 inhabitants in 1,329 households at the following census of 2011, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Khoda Afarin County. At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,561 in 1,359 households. The most populous of its 27 villages was Aliverdi Owshaqi, with 675 people.
