Baryshsky District
Baryshsky District (Russian: Бары́шский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,255.8 square kilometers (871.0 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Barysh. Population: 44,034 (2010 Census); 31,444 (2002 Census); 36,230 (1989 Census). The population of Barysh accounts for 38.9% of the district's total population.
