Balashovsky District
Balashovsky District (Russian: Балашовский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,924.56 square kilometers (1,129.18 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Balashov (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 31,125 (2010 Census); 34,599 (2002 Census); 33,835 (1989 Census).
