Baghdad Metro
The Baghdad Metro (Arabic: مترو بغداد), also known as Baghdad Elevated Train (BET), is a proposed rapid transit in the form of an elevated railway, for the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. Construction is to start in 2024 and finish in 2027. France’s Alstom and South Korea’s Hyundai would undertake the implementation of the $2.5 billion project, which aims to ease road congestion in the capital.
