Atkarsky District
Atkarsky District (Russian: Атка́рский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,700 square kilometers (1,000 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Atkarsk (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 16,550 (2010 Census); 17,915 (2002 Census); 16,994 (1989 Census).
