Ashur (god)
Ashur, Ashshur, also spelled Ašur, Aššur (Sumerian: 𒀭𒊹 AN.ŠAR₂, Assyrian cuneiform: Aš-šur, da-šur4) was the national god of the Assyrians in ancient time until their gradual conversion to Christianity between the 1st and 5th centuries AD.
