Ashar District
Ashar District (Persian: بخش آشار) is in Mehrestan County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Ashar.

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as a part of Sarbaz County) was 12,090 in 2,355 households. The following census in 2011 counted 17,784 people in 4,049 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county to become a part of the newly formed Zaboli County (renamed Mehrestan County). At the latest census in 2016, the district had 15,949 inhabitants in 3,929 households.
After the census, the village of Ashar was elevated to the status of a city.
