Aminan Mahmud

Pengiran Aminan bin Pengiran Mahmud (born 9 June 1968) is a Bruneian nobleman and military officer who previously served as the 10th commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces from 2018 until 2020. He was also the 9th commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces.

In this Malay name, there is no surname or family name. The name Pengiran Mahmud is a patronymic, and the person should be referred to by their given name, Pengiran Aminan. The word "bin" or "binti"/"binte" means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.
