Altaysky District, Altai Krai
Altaysky District (Russian: Алта́йский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the krai. The area of the district is 3,400 square kilometers (1,300 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Altayskoye. Population: 25,645 (2010 Census); 26,984 (2002 Census); 26,287 (1989 Census). The population of Altayskoye accounts for 53.5% of the district's total population.
