Alexander Ellis (diplomat)
Alexander Wykeham "Alex" Ellis CMG (born 5 June 1967) is a British civil servant, currently British Ambassador to Spain. He has previously been High Commissioner to India, Ambassador to Brazil and before that Portugal, and Deputy National Security Adviser for the Integrated Review on diplomacy, development and defence. Ellis was previously the Director General of the Department for Exiting the EU. He had previously been Britain's ambassador to Brazil from July 2013 to January 2017.
