al-Bidaya wa al-Nihaya (Arabic: البداية والنهاية, romanized: al-Bidāya wa al-Nihāya, lit. 'The Beginning and the End'), also known as Tarikh Ibn Kathir (Arabic: تاریخ ابن كثير, romanized: Tārīkh Ibn Kathīr), is an Islamic historical chronicle by the Sunni Muslim scholar Ibn Kathir (d. 1373).
