Abd al-Muttalib

Shayba ibn Hāshim (Arabic: شَيْبة بْن هاشِم; c.497–578), better known as ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib, (Arabic: عَبْد الْمُطَّلِب, lit.'Servant of Muttalib') was the fourth chief of the Quraysh tribal confederation and grandfather of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
