Abbasabad, Mazandaran
Abbasabad (Persian: عباس اباد), also Romanized as ‘Abbāsābād; formerly, Veresk (وَرسَك) and Varaak, is a city in, and the capital of, the Central District of Abbasabad County, Mazandaran province, Iran, and also serves as capital of the county.

At the 2006 census, its population was 11,256 in 3,195 households, when it was in the former Abbasabad District of Tonekabon County. The following census in 2011 counted 11,599 people in 3,620 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Abbasabad County. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 13,482 people in 4,500 households.
