It is located on the coast of Battery Park City and the Hudson River, next to 7 World Trade Center and the Barclay–Vesey Building, and behind 200 West Street. It can be identified by its distinct stairstep roof shape. It serves as the headquarters of the financial services company BNY Mellon, which owns the building.
