The defending champions were Jonas Björkman and Max Mirnyi; however, they lost in the quarterfinals against Mahesh Bhupathi and Radek Štěpánek. Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor won the title, defeating ninth seeds Lukáš Dlouhý and Pavel Vízner in the final.
