1983 US Open – Women's singles
Martina Navratilova defeated the defending champion Chris Evert in the final, 6–1, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 1983 US Open. It was her first US Open singles title and seventh major singles title overall, completing the career Grand Slam in singles.
